Where it all started...

Freshman Year

Here's our story,      I met my husband in high school. The most adorable couple around, dated all four years of high school, moved away for a year but always finding ourselves back home.

Wedding Day
Home is Machias, Maine. While some think we live in the middle of now where, it's our sanctuary, safe haven and happy place. We recently married in March, we sort of eloped! After work on March 1st 2014 we drove to a friends house, tied the knot with our best friends, Barry and Mathy Terrill by our sides, along with Delaney and Griffin, their two adorable children of course. You'll hear more about them later :) Then they took us to dinner at the local pizza place in town. It was nothing extravagant but everything I wanted. I couldn't be happier to finally be Mrs. Lenfestey. I had been dreaming about that day since freshman year. This is where our story really begins…   In case you haven't noticed, football season is in full swing and for me that means lots of baking, crocheting, and blogging. My husband, Michael, is the head JV football coach and the right hand man to the Varsity coach. He is the Offensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator for our own, Washington Academy, where we fell in love (I know.. cheesy!). Coaching is his calling. In the words of Vince Lombardi, "I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, his greatest fulfillment of all he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - Victorious". I love to watch him do what he loves, he pours his soul into it and that's what makes him an amazing coach, on and off the field. He knows how to interact with the kids in a way that they trust him, can laugh with him, tease each other but also know when to pull it together and get the job done.   He also coaches JV Basketball in the winter and helps with the baseball team whenever he can. It doesn't leave much time for the Wife. We got a puppy last summer to keep me company, baby fever was in full force so that is where Hanky came into play.. Hanky is my baby, he is a energetic and crazy border collie. Here he is as a puppy, where does the time go?

All Grown Up!

Tonight is a quiet night, we are both home which is a rare occurrence. Leftovers for dinner and cookies in the oven. Its nights like these that make the lonely ones worth it. I knew when I married him what I was getting into,
