A Break from Football?….NEVER!

So every day is a football day in our house this time of year. Whether Michael is coaching or watching, there is football within ear shot. Today after work I raced home to get the dog fed and change into warmer clothes to watch Michael coach our Raiders play the Houlton JV team. I get there a little into the first quarter and Houlton already has 2 touch downs… Not a happy camper to say the least. In the second half the Raiders played much better but still not quite enough to claim the win. Ending score Raiders: 14 Houlton: 40.. Yikes! After a game like that I try to make the rest of the evening a good one for Coach.. clean house, Chinese take-out for dinner, maybe a beer or two. He never takes a loss well. That must be his drive and desire to be the best. Im not sure what goes down in the depths of the loud, stinky locker room, but Im sure he had some "encouraging" words to share with the boys.  Never the less, he always finds a way to pick them up, dust em off and move forward and focus on the next task at hand, John Bapst High School! Practice all week to prepare for the Crusaders! Friday the 19th, first regular season home game. Gotta love Friday Night Lights, its a great excuse to wear my new crocheted cowl I just finished!
Stay tuned for my Friday Fashion. It will be a cold one in Downeast Maine!

Here are a few shots from the game tonight!
