Isn't it crazy how you can love someone so much even though you barely know them? This little man was born July 6th, 2014. 7 lbs, 13 oz of pure joy. His amazing mother has been my friend since high school. My husband was best friends with Ashley Varney straight out of the womb.. They grew up together, school, daycare, birthday parties, they were always together. Once in high school I started dating Michael and therefore I had to "make nice" with Ashley... or else! I never could have guessed she would become my best friend and we would stay close as we got older. We have certainly had our ups and downs, but who hasn't! Now she is the mother to a handsome little boy named Kole, and she has asked that Michael and I be the Godparents. I am filled with happiness, I am over the moon, I am so honored to be a part of this little Kolebean's life. Cant wait to watch him grow and so happy I get to be there with Uncle Mike, his beautiful Mama and great Daddy to take it all in

Movie Time!
So while I am supposed to be doing my English 201 homework I am watching The Help on TNT. It was such a good book and the movie is just as good. I love Emma Stone, she is such a good actress. I also am crocheting an adorable little cup cozy for my Mason Jar Cup I made the other day. I love filling up a large mason jar with ice water but the glass sweats so bad that it's messy, so I used my noggin and created a pattern for a little cotton cozy. Needless to say, I love it! I love when my crafts come out the way I imagined!

Late Night Treat
I have quite the sweet tooth and while my husband enjoys sweets, I usually eat them alone.. He is trying to watch his girlish figure.. Not tonight, I bought some Coffee Ice Cream, hot fudge, whipped cream and cherries at the grocery store this afternoon and thought I would be enjoying them alone. Instead I made two bowls and we ate them together. I love when we do things together, even if its just eating a bowl of ice cream :)
Lesson of the day:
Do not put the whole jar in the microwave for longer than 1 minute…. The hot fudge jar is now in a baggie…

Game Time:
Friday Night Lights against the John Bapst Crusaders this week. We weren't able to take the win last night but so close! 14 to 27 and we were robbed of TWO touchdowns! But who's counting… My Handsome Husband was in the "Tower" looking all cute and cold! It was a cold one in Downeast Maine. At about 36 degrees, I was bundled! Bean Boots, winter coat, hat, hand warmers, tall socks, two long sleeve shirts, scarf, Vanilla Chai in hand and I was still cold. Needless to say Ashley and I went for multiple pee breaks to get out of the cold. :)
Here we are looking crazy cute! Love her! BFF for life:)

Life:
On top of coaching, my husband also works at the local hardware store 40 hours a week. With me working at the bank I spend my weekends cleaning the house or cooking, unless I have cake or have to clean rentals. Michael never gets the weekends off, that is their busy time at the store so he hardly ever gets the same days off with me.
Today he was miraculously not on the schedule. So while he caught up on sleep I went to my mothers and we got started on cake. We have THREE this weekend. Baby Shower cake for a boy, an Avengers cake for a little boys birthday and a hunting cake for a 16? year old boy. The only cake we had a picture to go by, was for the baby shower, so we got to create our own for the other two. My mother also had a get together to attend so we busted out the majority of the cake before she left, and hopefully we won't have to be up too late to finish them. Pictures to come..
For her BBQ she made these amazing cupcakes! Little grill cupcakes with roasting bears:) Ummm.. Adorable!
On another note, I am on the hunt for a good drill. Christmas or birthday?! I have always had to borrow my mothers for any of my crafting needs… I found some unique Mason jars at Hobby Lobby this week and had to make them into a Sweet Tea holders :) You take your drill and make a hole in the middle of the Mason jar top, place a small rubber grommet so that you don't get cut, place straw and WALLA!!

A Break from Football?….NEVER!
So every day is a football day in our house this time of year. Whether Michael is coaching or watching, there is football within ear shot. Today after work I raced home to get the dog fed and change into warmer clothes to watch Michael coach our Raiders play the Houlton JV team. I get there a little into the first quarter and Houlton already has 2 touch downs… Not a happy camper to say the least. In the second half the Raiders played much better but still not quite enough to claim the win. Ending score Raiders: 14 Houlton: 40.. Yikes! After a game like that I try to make the rest of the evening a good one for Coach.. clean house, Chinese take-out for dinner, maybe a beer or two. He never takes a loss well. That must be his drive and desire to be the best. Im not sure what goes down in the depths of the loud, stinky locker room, but Im sure he had some "encouraging" words to share with the boys. Never the less, he always finds a way to pick them up, dust em off and move forward and focus on the next task at hand, John Bapst High School! Practice all week to prepare for the Crusaders! Friday the 19th, first regular season home game. Gotta love Friday Night Lights, its a great excuse to wear my new crocheted cowl I just finished!
Stay tuned for my Friday Fashion. It will be a cold one in Downeast Maine!
Here are a few shots from the game tonight!

Dinner for 1
I don't know what goes on in your home, but at our house "What's for dinner?" is always the question of the day. Michael and I will go back and forth and each of our suggestions always gets shot down.. Michael constantly wants chicken and mashed potatoes. Sometimes I just want to eat cereal.. Tonight he had a game in Houlton so I took it upon myself to go to the grocery store and buy everything he doesn't like. Tomato, basil, mozzarella, and garlic pasta! The best meal I have had in a long time. I also tried some Tomato Bruschetta, not the best but I cleaned my plate so that says something right?
I love to cook new things for my family and I also like to cook just for me, Swedish Apple Pie in the oven now! Michael will be home from the game just in time for some warm pie and vanilla ice cream. Can you say spoiled?

Snuggles
Dad is off to the game early this morning. The Raiders will play the Houlton Shires today at 1pm. He is probably on the cold bus now.. Good thing he loves the game! We had quite the time finding a clean football shirt this morning, but that seems to be our life, Where is (insert piece of clothing here)?? After finding matching socks, his belt and Raider sweater he is off! It will be a long day for the boys and I pray that they come home with a win!
After Dad leaves we are all a little sad, Meer meows at the door for about 10 minutes, Hank goes into each room looking for him and I make some coffee and watch cartoons. I love snuggling in bed, coffee in hand, Hank by my side and Sponge Bob on the TV. I know Sponge Bob is for children, but aren't we all just a bunch of kids?
Its a beautiful fall day out, a little chilly but the sun in shining! I have to be in Lubec for cleaning at 10, not looking forward to it but hoping that with only two houses today I can bust it out and get home to squeeze in a nice walk on the trail with my boy. He does love his walks.

Cakes for Days...
My Mum is my best friend, she is my rock and is always on my side, thats why she makes the perfect business partner.
So my Mum and I have started a small cake decorating business, Lehann Squared. Her name is also Lehann, that's where the squared came into play. Clever right? It came to me in a dream.. :) So we thought that we would just be making a few cakes for friends and family on the weekends. We started to accumulate all kinds of tools and with that we got ALL KINDS of cake orders. We never thought it would turn into something this big. We are so blessed that we have had such a great feedback. Here are a few of our favorite cakes.

Tastes like Fall!
They are so soft and taste like an old fashion cookie Granny would make. Tall glass of milk and your good to go! I made 3 dozen and decided to bring some into work, otherwise I would grow and extra butt cheek..
For real make them! You won't regret it!

If only we could be in two places at once!
So today was a busy day at the bank. I am a teller at an amazing bank, Bangor Savings. I really do love my job, while I'd rather be home making pie and taking care of babies, for now this will have to do. I could not wait for the work day to be over! Thank God for banker's hours right?!
I rush out of work to pick up my 12 year old sister (Joelle) to get her to the hair dresser, she is quite the diva! I was 10 years old when she was born and I wouldn't have it any other way. At the time is was hard, sharing my Mom and her getting many more toys at Christmas, but now we are so close and I cherish the time I get with her. Enough mushy, mushy…
So I pull into her house beeping a million times a minute and she comes rushing out, thankfully ready, drop her off to get a trim, race to The Terrill's to grab car seats, strap the seats down (which is probably harder than heart surgery) and race to get Delaney and Griffin from daycare. On Wednesdays I have an arrangement with Mathy to watch her lovely animals, it gives her some time to get her baking on at the local restaurant and I get some snuggle time and my weekly baby fix, is a win-win.
So I have the kiddos at this point and now there is no more racing (that is dangerous!) We all pick up Joelle and head back to the house to make PIZZA! I don't know about you but I love making pizza. The dough squishing in you hands, the smell of the sauce, CHEESE, toppings, Need I say more??
So we eat Pizza, paint nails, watch a little Monk.. While I am only with the kiddos from 4:15ish to 6, I soak up every minute with those hooligans. Wednesday are a little crazy but everyone needs to shake it up in the middle of the work week right? Plus, I need to get some practice for when I have a bus full of animals and everyone needs to be dropped of at the same time!
